Town, village, neighbourhood at La Rochepot
Warning: Unsecured hours
Birthplace of Philippe Pot, which is where the village gets its name, which during the Revolution became La Roche-Fidèle, the narrow streets of La Rochepot retain many vestiges of its past in the shadow of its château, perched on a rocky outcrop. It was destroyed several times since the first buildings of the 11th century. The one we visit today was built identical to the 19th century by Colonel Sadi Carnot, son of the President of the Republic.
